ISF Advanced Track

Students will select one of the two advanced study tracks offered for the Information Security and Forensics degree program as listed below. These courses represent advanced specializations either in Computer System Security or in Network Security. Since most advanced study courses are offered only once or twice a year, students should plan their co-op blocks so that they will be on campus when the courses of interest are offered.

Choose one of the following two tracks:

Before beginning either advanced track a student must successfully complete 4002-415, Ethics in IT.

Network and Wireless Security

  • 4050-517 Network Forensics and Security
  • 4050-523 Security of Wireless Networks
  • 4050-xxx Wireless Ad-hoc & Sensor Ntwk Security*
  • 4050-585 Networks & System Security Audits

Computer System Security

  • 4050-422 System Administration II
  • 4050-580 Computer System Security
  • 4050-581 Computer System Forensics
  • 4050-585 Networks & System Security Audits
